On July 16, 2026, Donald Trump held a press conference regarding election fraud and election security.
“For many years, I’ve called for bold, swift, and decisive action to protect the integrity of America’s elections. Every American deserves to know that when they cast their vote, that vote will be counted accurately in a system—one where cheating and interference are not just difficult, but virtually impossible. Unfortunately, the system we have today falls catastrophically short of that standard.”
Along with his speech, Trump declassified intelligence documents revealing shocking vulnerabilities in our election infrastructure, the actions foreign countries took to influence and interfere in our elections, and serious malfeasance within our Intelligence Community aimed at downplaying both the extent of those vulnerabilities and the significance of that foreign interference.
After reviewing only some of the documents, it is my opinion that Trump’s speech did not fully convey just how damning their contents actually are.
This article will serve as a collection of the most interesting information I uncover while reviewing the newly declassified documents.
I will continue to update it as I find more.
My favorite part of Trump’s press conference was the direct assertion that China had committed an act of war against the United State’s by interfering in our elections.
Our election infrastructure is critical infrastructure:
On January 6th, 2017, Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson - President Obama’s DHS Secretary - issued a statement designating election infrastructure as a critical-infrastructure subsector within the existing Government Facilities sector. This designation formally brought election infrastructure into the federal government’s critical-infrastructure security framework.
Foreign attacks on American critical infrastructure are extraordinarily serious and are considered an act of war.
What makes the revelations even more disturbing is that members of our own Intelligence Community knew what was happening, withheld that information from President Trump and the American public, and downplayed both the vulnerabilities in our election systems and the actions taken by foreign countries to exploit them.
That is Treasonous.
Our intelligence community produced a report discussing how Venezuela and Smartmatic manipulated election results using preprogrammed machines and virtual machines.
The Save America Act cannot fix this kind of problem.
Our intelligence community knew that China was attempting to "use blackmail against a US administration official."
The Intelligence Community “deliberately massaged” the President’s Daily Brief to avoid sharing key analysis and critical information with President Trump.
Ahead of the 2020 elections, “China had extensive plans… to sway public opinion against the Trump Administration and international opinion against the U.S. Government.
Here is a CIA intelligence report detailing some of the ways China was working to defeat President Trump in the 2020 election:
- Paid U.S. journalists to write more negative stories about President Trump. (WE NEED NAMES)
- Inflicted negative financial consequences against states who voted for President Trump by levying tariffs on exports to China.
- Invited all sorts of people with all expense paid trips to China to get them "hooked on China" so they could later hit them "in the wallet" to force them to talk with President Trump about tariffs.
- Applied pressure to financial supporters of President Trump's re-election campaign.
Declassified document revealing a People’s Republic of China state-sponsored hacker downloaded voter registration data from multiple states.
The data included names, addresses, party affiliations, emails, and phone numbers from records dating back to 2013.
Several email chains among Intelligence Community officials reveal significant internal disagreement over their election assessments. Some officials sought to include assessments indicating that China was attempting to influence the 2020 election, but their efforts were repeatedly rejected and suppressed.
These email chains provide clarity to the memo John Ratcliffe released on January 7th, 2021: “Views on Intelligence Community Election Security Analysis.”
The intelligence showing that China was sending thousands of fraudulent drivers license to the United States that were going to be used by individuals sympathetic to the CCP to vote for Joe Biden, despite not being eligible to vote in the United States.
